Germany’s loveliest hiking trail is located in the Hunsrück –
Narrow paths, rushing brooks, and breathtaking panoramas: The Saar-Hunsrück Climb between the gemstone town Idar-Oberstein and the Roman city Trier was chosen Hiking Trail of the Year 2009: The Climb meanders over 114 mi/184 km through one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Germany.
The success story of the Saar-Hunsrück Climb continues.
After it was newly certified in June 2009 with a spectacular ranking by the German Hiking Institute in Marburg and became a member of the “Top Trails of Germany,” the next high point is in the offing: It will become “Germany’s Loveliest Hiking Trail 2009” in the category Routes (long-distance trails).
