Dream Loops
Much is being done on the Saar-Hunsrück Climb for hikers and nature fans. A dense network of fantastic premium circular trails is being developed for hikes in the region between Moselle, Rhine, Saar, and Nahe, where hikers can literally start dreaming: the "Saar-Hunsrück Dream Loops."
Route:
The Dream Loops run for the most part on narrow nature-oriented paths, past bizarre stone formations and idyllic brooks to breathtaking panoramic views and impressive natural and cultural monuments. Hikes on the Dream Loops are definitely a richly refreshing nature experience !
Length and Location of the Dream Loops:
The Dream Loops are between 3.6 and 10.8 mi/6 and 18 km long and are set up as circular routes. Some of them are directly accessible from the Saar-Hunsrück Climb; others are located not far away. No matter where you begin: In every case, the Dream Loops open up the opportunity for further discovery tours all around the Saar-Hunsrück Climb!
Signposting:
On these premium trails, signposting is continuous throughout, based on the strict guidelines of the German Hiking Institute; numerous additional markers provide distance information to facilitate orientation.
Recreation:
Frequent places to rest and linger a while are located along the paths. Among them are the hiker-friendly guest houses on the paths, at least one on every Dream Loop.
Currently developed Dream Loops:
Almost half of the 60 planned Dream Loops can already be hiked.
