The trail leading around Schillingen offers repeated magnificent vistas onto Schillingen and onto both of the highest ridges in the Hochwald. A constant alternation between paths across open fields and ways through rugged forests and along various brooks characterizes the trail. The Schillingen forest pond and Lake Kell form further high points on this trail, one that unlocks for hikers the beauties of nature in the Hochwald.
The trail was assessed with 51 adventure points by the German Hiking Institute.
