The Bietzerberg presents impressive panoramas in all directions. The trail is surprisingly diverse: hidden brooks, open meadows and fields, convoluted paths, and shady forests fascinate hikers as does the Haustadt Valley with the pastures full of fruit trees and meadows of orchids, the "WilderWald Path," the nature preserve Wolferskopf, stone testimony to the past, artistic stone sculptures by the internationally known Merzig sculptor Paul Schneider, and the information board with interesting facts about the Bietzerberg mountain.
In 2009, the trail was assessed with 65 adventure points by the German Hiking Institute.
