Long, deep brook valleys lie between the high points of the two Celtic-Roman and medieval fortifications, the castle hill and the Balduinseck castle ruin. The "Masdasch Castellan's Trail" links the two on ancient paths and existing hiking trails and encloses the lively village Mastershausen.
