17Wehinger Viezpfad [Wehingen Cider Path], Mettlach
The Wehingen Cider Path leads from Wehingen to the heights of the Saargau, the Kewelsberg mountain with a magnificent view onto the Hochwald Black Forest and the Merzig Basin. After the descent from Kewelsberg, it leads through rugged brook valleys, gullies, mixed forest and pastures with fruit trees. The trail has a large portion of natural ways and paths.
The trail is in the process of being certified as a Dream Loop by the German Hiking Institute. Opening end of October 2009.
