Leg 5: Grimburgerhof - Hermeskeil - Nonnweiler
Mostly reconstructed, the medieval Grimburg Castle, situated on a ridge, is one of the culturally historical high points on the Climb. The trail continues several miles/kilometers through the wild, idyllic, and quiet Wadrill Valley. At the Keller Steg (bridge), the trail forks. It gradually rises through the isolated Lauschbach Valley and reaches a pass with impressive panoramic vista onto Gusenburg. After the underpass for the A 1 autobahn near Hermeskeil, the trail leads over the heights with lovely views across the landscape around Hermeskeil and then descends into the beautiful Forstelbach Valley.
