Leg 8: Morbach - Langweiler - Kempfeld
The leg has a challenging profile with several ascents and descents. It begins at Ortelsbruch, a mountain moor, crossed by wood walkways. It continues over the ridges of the Idarwald to Langweiler with an impressive vista onto the Steinbach Valley Reservoir and Wildenburg Castle. The trail then runs through open fields down into the valley to the Geopark Krahloch. The leg ends after an ascent at the romantic medieval Wildenburg Castle with game preserve and observation tower.
