Grimburg Castle
www.hermeskeil.de Grimburg Castle was built as an Electoral castle by Trier archbishops around 1190 and was formerly the administrative seat for almost 40 Hochwald communities. Later, witch trials took place in Grimburg Castle.

Züscher Hammer Ore Mill
www.hermeskeil.de At the beginning of the 17th century, the entrepreneur Hauzeur developed here the largest iron forge in the Hunsrück. The entire facility comprised a stamp mill, a smelter, and a barn for storing charcoal. The visitor can experience a reconstructed hammer stamp mill driven by water power.

Der Keltische Ringwall at Otzenhausen [Celtic hill fortifications]

www.nonnweiler.de The Historical Nail Forge has a long tradition in the Hochwald. The former iron smelting produced more than sufficient raw material for nails. Everything necessary for smelting and processing iron was available in great quantity in the Hochwald.

Industrie- Kultur- Denkmal Mariahütte [Industrial and Cultural Monument]
www.nonnweiler.de Iron was processed and a pre-industrial technique in the Mariahütte Industrial and Cultural Monument around 1580. The unique feature is that the old manufacturing hall, the villa, the manor house, and the chapel with the fountain have been preserved from 1836.

Kath. Pfarrkirche "Hochwalddom" Nonnweiler [Catholic parish church "Hochwald Cathedral"]
www.nonnweiler.de St. Hubert's Church was built in neo-Gothic style in 1900-1902. The high altar, 36 ft/11 m high, depicts the story of salvation from the Old and New Testaments as well as the life of St. Hubert. The Hubert Horn and the Hubert Key (12th century) are preserved in a shrine.
